Creating an Oracle Deck & the impact of Creative Spirituality

I started illustrating my Oracle deck in early 2022. I am so grateful for all the support & enthusiasm I’ve received from those eagerly waiting for it to be released. From the bottom of my heart thank you to my fans & supporters!

The truth is, this is not just about the illustrations. There’s a far bigger component to this— Oracle/ Tarot is a spiritual tool.

These beautiful illustrations will not reach their full potential without a guidebook that is structured & lovingly crafted with insight. I am taking my time creating a tool for reflections & lasting change. There is a time & place for tough love, but I want this deck to be a gentle reminder to rise to what is our highest good, gently without the guilt.

When I decided to illustrate an Oracle deck & was searching for a theme I kept ruminating on the unpaid labour of womenfolk, the families they raised & all the important work so many of them have done. I chose “Women of the underworld” to honor the strength, resilience & power of so many women, both historically & womenfolk I’ve personally known.

My mamma is one of my biggest inspirations, I am often completely in awe of her sheer & unwavering determination to push forward no matter what.

There’s such a kinship I feel with womenfolk. This year I’ve been honored to photograph some huge milestones for a few trans friends as they stepped authentically into their feminine power & owned the space they occupied in a new way. Doing that type of work is close to my heart. I want to create this deck all the way to it’s full potential by working on it slowly & intentionally. The process of making it involves some of the most important spiritual work I’ve ever done. I’m aiming to finish it by the end of next year, but I will do what it takes to finish it knowing I put my whole heart into it. Thank you for being here as this unfolds.
